Annual Racking Inspections

Annual pallet racking inspections are essential for maintaining a safe warehouse environment and meeting legal and operational compliance requirements. These inspections help identify potential risks early, addressing structural integrity, operational performance, and safety concerns before they escalate into costly failures or accidents. Regular inspections also support ongoing warehouse efficiency and demonstrate due diligence in health and safety management.

Visual Pallet Racking Inspection Process

Visual pallet racking inspections are typically conducted at ground level by an experienced and qualified SEMA approved racking inspector. Where required, inspections at height can also be arranged to ensure a comprehensive assessment of all rack components, our inspectors are IPAF & harness certified. Prior to the inspection, a detailed risk assessment and safety analysis is completed to ensure safe access, minimise disruption to operations, and confirm that inspection conditions meet all safety requirements.

Documentation Review

As part of the inspection process, the racking inspector may request access to internal inspection records maintained by the Person Responsible for Racking Safety (PRRS). Reviewing these records helps verify that routine checks, maintenance procedures, and corrective actions are being carried out in line with recommended guidelines and technical standards.
